Many communities are pet friendly. Pet size is often restricted to around 20 lbs to 50 lbs, however larger pets can be accommodated by a many properties in Palm Beach County. If you have a large dog then we can really help save you time and money! Although it is harder to find communities that allow large pets, it's not impossible. Our licensed, experienced, professional associates know who takes what kinds of pets and where the best deals are.

• Dog Park - Boca Raton
  5001 NW Broken Sound Boulvard in Boca Raton. Hours: Sunrise-Sunset. Features: Ground-level water fountains, plastic-bag dispensers, separate sections for small and large dogs. Free.
• Dog Park - Delray Beach
  2929 Lake Ida Rd, Delray Beach. Lake Ida Park. (561) 966-6664. Hours: Sunrise-Sunset. Features: 2.5 acres, (2) fenced-in areas: one for small dogs and one for large dogs, (2) canine drinking stations, (1) dog washing area, (8) shaded sitting areas, paved pathway, dispensers and receptacles for dog waste bags, restrooms and parking areas located nearby, information kiosk.
• Dog Beach - Jupiter
  1375 Jupiter Beach Rd., Jupiter. Jupiter Beach. (561) 746-5134. Hours: Sunrise-Sunset. Features: Small stretch of beach for dogs only in areas where lifeguards are not on watch. Free admission.
• Dog Park - North Palm Beach
  Anchorage Park at 603 Anchorage Drive, North Palm Beach. Fenced section of Anchorage Park.
• Pooch Pines Dog Park
  Forest Hill Blvd. & Jog Rd. at Okeeheelee Park. Hours: Open 7 days a week form sunrise to sunset. Closed Wednesday from noon-3:30 p.m. for cleaning.
• Dog Park - Wellington
  Aero Club and Greenbriar Blvd., Wellington. Hours: Sunrise to Sunset, closed Thurday. Features: Benches, tables, poopbags, trees, parking, water, trash, restrooms and shelter coming soon; separate areas for big and small dogs; a nice play area for kids is adjacent to this 3-acre dog park.
• Dog Park - West Palm Beach
  On the corner of Maddock Street and Georgia Avenue, West Palm Beach just east of Forest Hill High School. Mary Brandon Park. Features a bench and pooper scooper paper. Fenced in area where dogs can run free.

Lost Pets

Visit the shelter during business hours business hours or look on the Web site www.pbcgov.com/SNAP for a picture of your lost pet. The shelter is open Monday through Friday, 11-6, Saturday 10-5, or Sunday 11-4. The Lost and Found phone number is 561-233-1282. The shelter is located at 7100 Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach approximately 5 miles west of I-95, just west of the Florida Turnpike. Proof of ownership is required. Bring a clear and current photo of your pet or the animal's rabies certificate. Be sure to complete a lost report at the shelter. It is important that you check every few days at all animal shelters for your lost pet! Only you know what your pet looks like. If you are reclaiming your pet from Animal Care and Control, there is a fee involved. Cash, credit cards and local checks are accepted.
