One of Sarasota's Best Burger Joints: The Frosted Mug

Let me start off by saying that The Frosted Mug isn't located directly in Sarasota, it is in Venice, which is only a short drive south, and it is in the county. This Venice establishment was one of the first businesses built on Tamiami Trail, and has been in continuous operation since 1957. When you go to this cash only establishment, you can choose to sit outside and wave to those driving south on Tamiami Trail, or you can sit inside and check out all of the memorabilia on the walls.

So what does one order when they go to The Frosted Mug? Some patron favorites include the Big Buc Burger, Chili Burger, Reuben Dog, or the Famous Philly. One of my favorite meals is the Cheese Burger in Paradise, with bleu cheese and a side of sweet potato fries. One thing you must always get at The Frosted Mug is a delicious mug of root beer.
