Mandy Karst was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa where she attended an exclusive girls’ private school and went on to the University of Cape Town to earn a degree in Business. She immigrated to the United States with her family almost thirty years ago and is proudly an American citizen. Mandy has spent most of her career in finance in the hotel/resort industry and it was the resort industry that brought her to Florida where she held positions of Controller and Director of Finance at a fabulous 4-star golf and tennis resorts. In 1999, Mandy moved to Indian River County and started her own tax practice, which has been successful for the last ten years. She is an enrolled agent (EA), enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, and has extensive knowledge of the United States tax code and how real estate transactions affect your personal and/or business tax situation.

More recently, Mandy entered into the real estate business expressly to join Starfish Real Estate, where her goal is to work exclusively with buyers and to offer buyers the kind of personalized and professional customer service that you should expect from your real estate professional. Mandy’s extensive business background, impeccable work ethic and knowledge of this area, coupled with her own experiences with multiple relocations during her career, as well as raising her own children right here in Indian River County, are all assurances to you that she is competent to help you with the decisions you face with the purchase of your new home, be it your main home, a second home or investment property.
