What does Active Rain, CSI Miami, Mansions and Airplanes Have in Common? Nestor Gasset and Katerina Gasset sell the CSI Miami Mansion in the Aeronautical community of Aero Club in Wellington Florida as a result of a post that they wrote about the Areo Club on Active Rain!

The Wellington Florida CSI mansion was listed for sale and through Active Rain we found the buyer for that spectacular mansion on a lush green runway in the aeronautical community called Aero Club in Wellington Florida. I promised you I would surprise you with this fun story behind the house we sold a couple of weeks ago for $1,300,000. Read our Active Rain success story here.
Here is David Caruso posing for a photo with Sal.

Here we are at the closing with the buyer and the sellers and our title lady, Tina.
The owner of the home, Sal is the builder of this absolutely stunning home. He and his wife and child have been enjoying the fun and excitement that goes with having your house in a movie or tv show. Sal built this home and it is a genuine quality built home that shares an exciting story. If you would like to have a home built like this contact us and we will get it done for you!

One day his wife was at home making lunch when there was a knock on her door. The lady who was at the door began to tell Monica (Sal's wife) that they should be prepared for some noise because CSI Miami was there to film an episode and they had chosen this street. There was a vacant lot next door which they were using to host all their trucks, camera equipment, tents and movie props. Since Monica was in the middle of cooking she invited the lady into the house so she could get the food off the stove.

When the lady walked into the house she just about fell over because this home is really a showplace. She told Monica that she loved her house and wanted to know if they would be interested in renting it out to CSI MIAMI. This was an exciting proposition. Monica called Sal and they agreed to rent their house out. The scenes in front of the mansion you will see in the movie clip are filmed in front of Sal and Monica's house.
Here is Emily Proctor with Sal and his wife Monica.

Monica is quite the social butterfly and soon all her friends were over at the house watching the filming of CSI MIAMI. There is a scene around their pool and patio that we have a link to at the end of this story. What a fun event this was in the life of a family right here in Wellington Florida.
This is the mansion of your dreams. Here are the reasons why CSI Miami producers fell in love with this Luxury home in Wellington Florida. The buyer bought ALL the furniture in this house too! How could you NOT buy the whole enchalada with this amazing taste and style!

Enjoy some fun photos of the set built in their house.

How about a ride in the CSI crime scene investigation van!

That is so cool!!!!
Jeannette- Isn't this just the funnest thing to blog about! Thanks for your comment.
Not just funny, but I love the history!!! Thanks for sharing with us!
WOW, THAT IS SO WAY COOL!
Williamsburg's Preferred Realtor®
Jeannette- No, I said FUNNEST, not funny. :) I love the history of this house! I remember reading about it in the local paper.
Wow, that house is just fabulous. I would give my left foot for it. Awesome story!! :)
Yvette- Thanks! I was so excited about sharing the history of this house and had to learn how to embed the video because it was sent to my by the sellers in an email. So I just saved it as a video file and then uploaded it to photobucket and then copied the embed code and pasted it here. It turned out great!
Lindsay- Hey, you can give your left foot and I will give my left finger, pinky finger that is, and then we can both have it! ;) Isn't it just absolutely gorgeous!
Wow! What a fun story! I love watching CSI. The house is fantastic too. I spent some time on a movie set in Memphis. It's interesting how they pick the locations.
wow.....what a fabalous home and an honor to represent the sale of the property.
How fun is that! How did you get that listing Katerina? That is just so exciting! I am happy for you guys.
Susan
Katerina: That is a great story and such a beautiful home! I can see why CSI was interesting in using it! Great photos
Hey- who says properties still get stigmatized! Nice job on the sale, and it really is a pretty house. It is fun to see what is done in high end homes there- We don't have the same kind of finishing on homes here.
Sarah- It is so different from the west coast. I lived in Seattle for 5 years. I was born in California. My brother and his family live in Oregon. My grandmother lived in Tacoma after immigrating to the U.S. from Latvia right as Stalin was coming to Latvia until in her early 90's. Then my brother brought her to Portland.
Susan- We brought the buyer. The owner is also licensed but does not do real estate, he builds. He listed the house himself. Then we found out as we were talking that our friends right across the street from us, our kids play together, are very good friends with these sellers. Naturally we all became friends.

Roberta- I love these kinds of stories, makes for such interesting conversation!
Lizette- This choice was just by accident. The original script had the scenes all outside on the runway and taxi way. But when they saw the inside of the house, they just had to do some scenes in the house and out by the pool.
Pam- Thank you! It was a pleasure and it was so much fun learning about the whole story and turn of events.
Katerina, what a fun story! Did the history of the house make it more valuable, or is that just a nice perk?
Hey Katerina,
That was a great story from the other post. Dam I need one of those...forget the money...I want to be on TV!!
Katerina, very exciting indeed! What will be your next brush with fame? I wonder what the film crew pays in rent to use a home.
Katerina, What a great property. I don't think I have ever sold a "celebrity house". We do have crack houses and grow houses in my area. Does that count? Congrats on the great sale!!!
My Wife is such a CSI fan...I know exactly which episode that was in!
Katerina, What a great story and how much fun! I would have loved to see that and that house sure is spectacular!
Wow..Nestor and Katerina...Great story, absolutely Fabulous House and Awesome Selling Realtors.
If You Want it Gone In Florida Call Nestor and Katerina Gasset.
Cheers well Done!
It's always cool when you deal directly with something that's in a movie or tv show. I grew up just outside of Nachitoches, LA where Steel Magnolias was filmed and it's so amazing when you're like, "Oh, that's my history teacher's house!" or "Hey I played in that backyard!". Thanks for the trip down memory lane Katerina!
Pam M- No the history did not make it more valuable just more fun and exciting!
Neal- Yes, being on TV and in the movies is fun. My kids all were actors and so was I. We did a lot of extra work in films here and in Miami. My daughters and I are in Something About Mary. All my kids and I are in Analyze This, my kids are all in Waterboy ( Orlando shoot), We were in Sex and the City, and a bunch more, can't think of them all on the top of my head.
Brian- They were asked by BIG BROTHER, the Reality TV show to rent their house out too. They were not offered enough to rent it out for 3 months. They told me how much, but I forgot. Something About Mary rented out an old Cadalac that I had for like $300 per day for like 2 weeks.
Bryant- Sorry, crack houses and grow houses don't count for celebrity status. But maybe you can sell a row of houses there to some celeb who can tear them all down and build a mansion right there in good ol' Poinciana!
Jeremy- How cool is that!
Carole- The house is drop dead gorgeous! You with all your Feng Shui talent would really feel the great flow and energy in that house!
Fred- Thank you so much for your wonderful endorsements! You are our biggest fan!
James- That is so much fun! We lived in LA during pilot seasons for many years with our kids, who were kid actors. I had a blast each year for 3 months there.
Not logged in- Thank you! You did not log in so I don't know your name but thanks for commenting anyways!
Mypsalesman- What is your name? You can add your name to your First name and still have your company name or website name so we all know who you are. Yes, now is a great time to buy. We are in Florida, so our foreclosures are through the roof, but we also have great prices.
$1.3 million for that house?! That was a great deal... it's gorgeous!
Katerina-
How exciting to be able to sell such a beautiful property! Such a story behind it too.
I can't believe the value. All that house for $1.3??? That is almost lot value for a 4000sq f lot here (build a house up to 2600 sq ft, including basement!). A new house on such a lot would cost $1.8 - $2.2M. There would be no view. Hardly any yard and your neighbours house would be about 6-8 feet away.
Congrats to you guys on the great sale though! That is exciting to find a buyer through AR and be involvled with the famous people.
Nestor & Katerina - As always a very enjoyable fun post. Looks like a blast.
Matthew- This house sits on one acre of land! And it is right on the taxi way so your plane is right in your yard in a great big hanger! It is gorgeous in this private aeronautical community. I know Vancouver and this I think would go for over 2 million up there because of what it has and the land of course. This house has over 5000 square feet of air conditioned space. We have helped Canadians relocate here to sunny Florida!
Kristi- Thank you! It was fun! We just listed a 1.6 million dollar equestrian estate that I am hoping to get on this blog tomorrow or the next day.
Chuck- IT was a great deal! It is worth more than that.
Kim- That was a fun sale! We just listed another luxury property that I will be posting in the next couple of days, stay tuned.
awesome blog so cool thank you for sharing
Bryan- You are welcome. I love sharing these beautiful homes. We just listed a historic equestrian estate that I will blog about next week.
Robert- Yes, it does take a long time to upload all the photos. What takes longer though is editing them all before I even get them on the blog!

Katerina - You do indeed sell some of the most beautiful homes in the state!!!
Barbara and Bill- We pride ourselves in that as well! Thank you for the wonderful compliment. Beautiful estates are a pleasure to sell! It is best when you don't have to tell the owners they need to clean up the place or fix it up!
