Okeeheelee Park which is right outside of Wellington Florida- the park actually touches Buena Vida Development which is in Wellington Florida. Okeeheelee Park Ski tournaments are big even for skiers and the skiiers really like the way Okeeheelee Park has the water ski championships so well organized.

People come from all over the country to enter and participate in the Okeeheelee Water Ski Nationals because this is a huge park with 5 lakes designed especially for skiing. While events are happening on one lake another lake can be used for practice sessions. This is a great perk for those who traveled a while to get here and then are able to practice all day every day before the time for the event is upon them.

You can compete each year as a novice, an amateur or as a professional water skier and for all age groups. There are events for both. This year there was a 65 year old man who competed in the age group of 65-69 year olds. The age groups are as young as 4 years old to as young at heart as 90 years old. This year there were over 700 competitors in competitions of slalom, trick and jump events. There are jumps over 200 Feet!
