Acreage and Loxahatchee - Muti-Use Land for Sale

- The Acreage and Loxahatchee - West Palm Beach - Royal Palm Beach Multi use Land for Sale

Land for Sale in Loxahatchee - The Acreage - Multi-use landWhen people think of West Palm Beach, they tend to relate to the city life. The typical congested downtown, plenty of yachts and boaters, night life and all the other typical characteristics of city life.

The western communities of West Palm Beach, which are also located in Royal Palm Beach and Wellington, may be a little different that you would imagine.

Royal Palm Beach and unincorporated West Palm Beach is only about 8-10 miles from the hustle of downtown West Palm Beach, but offers a rural lifestyle and living that may surprise you.

This is the area of the Acreage and Loxahatchee, where the typical lot size is about 1.25 acres, with a range up to 10 acre lots. While neighboring areas typically have about .17 - .25 acres per lot, Loxahatchee and the Acreage offer space and a rural lifestyle.

The zoning for this area is 'AR', which mean Agricultural / Residential. What does this mean to you, as a consumer looking for land for sale in Loxahatchee and the Acreage?

This zoning permits you to be creative with your land. Below are some example of uses:

  • Residential Use - The obvious and typical scenario includes building a single family home, but with the extra space you could build a second home for the 'mother in law'.
  • Tree Frams and Plant Nurseries - Plant trees on your lot next to your home or dedicate the entire lot for growing trees and plants as a business.
  • Equestrian - Keep horses on your lot for personal use, or have a farm with stables for rent as a commercial use.
  • Other animals - See photos below where one homeowner raises and sells goats.! I have seen llamas (or similar animals) in people backyards.
  • Plenty of storage space - Build a large garage and keep your boat or other 'toy' locked away safely from the elements. This may also include trailers, airboats, bulldozers and other large utility items.
See the photos below for examples of these uses and for images of the area.

Florida Land for Sale in Loxahatchee and The AcreageBelow are some actual photos that I took while doing some research on land for sale in Loxahatchee and the Acreage.

You can see some of the examples of the uses mentioned above in the photo gallery below.

You can see there are large houses and construction underway in the area. There is plenty of space and lots are available on both paved roads and more private graded-dirt roads.

In the gallery below, there is even a BMX track for kids on one property!

Access to Loxahatchee from the south is via newly expanded Southern Boulevard (a 6-8 lane highway).

Access from the North access is through Northlake Blvd, which is an exit off the Florida Turnpike.

There are paved roads which lead into and across Loxahatchee, but many of the side roads are graded dirt roads.

We have similar zoning. Just 10 minutes from the traffic congestion, you can buy houses with acreage and let your horses roam about your property. It's the best of both worlds for people who want farm living with city conveniences.

Nick, this is an excellent post for your consumer.  I love the way you set it up and the thorough info.  Good job!

Nick, Very Very cool how you are able to post all of this together.. I have know clue when it comes to stuff like that.  I am glad you are back posting again.

Hi Lisa, that sounds great to anyone who does want the space and freedom to have a little more land and have animals on their property. I can only imagine that it is a horse lover's dream! :) thanks for stopping by.

Hi Maggie, thanks for the compliment. It really is a nice place if you want that freedom or have a lot of toys. I thought the goat farm and little BMX track were cute. :)

Hi Matthew, thanks.. it takes a little longer but the presentation style is best to share the photos with. I'll be around here and there, but still 'taking a break'. Lots to do around here :)

thank you all for stopping by and commenting. Wishing you all the Happiest of Holidays. I'll be visiting you all soon :)

Hey Nick! I just updated my tattoo post and added the image to it. Let me know what you think. I might e-mail what's wrong with it.
