Tuesday was the Active Rain Meet up at Cafe 906 in Winter Park. It was wonderful to meet other local bloggers in person. Everyone had their own story to tell, we had lunch and chatted about real estate, blogging, and local areas tid bits. We discussed having another local AR Meet Up and how to make it more valuable. We will have another one in the future, perhaps not an official nationwide meet up as this one was, but one that we can set up ourselves and learn from one another.

I had the pleasure of meeting George Freelove, who is an expert on all things Lake Nona, he knows a lot about the area and worked for a builder previously. I met Howard Fried, who is in my mind a blogging superstar, he has taken many of the AR University classes and attended a Rain Camp. Tanya Venable is from South Carolina and does home staging and is a real estate investor. She is quite a lady, dresses well and seems to have a very smart head on her shoulders. The Real Estate Optimist himself, David Welch, attended our meeting, he walked over to the cafe from his Winter Park office and shared his blogging experiences, he is also quite the numbers guy and can recite market statistics like no other. Dennis Burgess was there as well and he is an expert on all things related to property management.
It was so wonderful to meet all of these Active Rain bloggers and we will have another one in the future. We discussed having another local meet up and offering some information sharing, possibly learning about SEO or web-sites, photography or something else interesting that we can think of.
