Flu Shot Clinic at CENTURY 21 Bill Nye Realty in Zephyrhills, FL on October 15,2009

As we did last year, flu and pneumonia vaccines will be administered by the Pasco County Health Department at our CENTURY 21 Bill Nye Realty, Inc. offices at 34619 State Road 54, Zephyrhills, Florida from 9:00 AM to NOON on Thursday, October 15, 2009. We will have juice and cookies available for you as you wait for your turn.

The cost of each flu shot is $25 and pneumonia shots cost $54. However, Medicare Part B will cover the costs for those in that program. Those with HMO/private insurance or those who get their Medicare benefits from Humana will be given a receipt for possible reimbursement. For more information about payments and costs you can call the health department at: 727-861-5250.

You can also download information sheets about the clinic, the vaccines, permission slips, etc. by clicking on the following link: Download Info Sheets Flu Shots 2009

As far as I know, these vaccines have nothing to do with the swine flu.

Vaccine recipients must be at least 18 years of age.

PS - I am sure some of you may also have questions and concerns about the Swine Flu that we have all been hearing about for many months. Good news is they seem to think that those of us who are older are better protected than the younger crowd is. Now, isn't that a turnaround from what is normally the case. The vaccine for this flu will not be administered at the clinic referred to above.

Here are two sites, one federal and the other state that can perhaps answer your questions. If I hear about clinics for getting this different  vaccine, I will try to post it. You may also want to speak with your personal doctor or medical caregiver about the swine flu and you.
