Taste of Alpharetta May 12, 2011

Have you marked your calendar? May 12th is the day,” The Taste of Alpharetta”. The event begins at 5 P.M. and continues until 10 P.M. It is will be held on Old Milton Parkway at Wills Park. The admission is free.

Come and delight your palate by sampling food from over 50 restaurants. The food tickets are $5.00 per sheet, with 10 tickets on each sheet. Samples range from 50 cents to three dollars the equivalent of one to six tickets. The restaurants will accept tickets only. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Alpharetta City Hall ( 2 South Main Street, Alp. 30009) between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. or at the ticket booths at the event.

There will be a Culinary Competition on stage on the Culinary Arts and Music Stage between 5:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. The local chefs will compete in five categories: best appetizer/salad, best fast casual entrée, best fine dining entrée, best dessert, and best presentation. Come and watch the action. You can cast your vote for your favorite restaurant for the People’s choice award.

The city is requesting you leave your pets at home, and plan to take them at a later date to the Waggy World Paw Park at Wills Park

There will be shuttles from designated parking area to the event. Check with City Hall for the location of these parking facilities.
