Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta

When a restaurant opens in your neighborhood, you either never go, or you get Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta and it's your "home away from home!" From the first time I ate here, to Brunch today, I've always liked this restaurant. And after getting to know Chris Ernest, the Manager, I like it even more. A great supporter of the neighborhood Chris is!

First off, the restaurant is just plain cool inside! The ceilings soar 2 stories and really add to the atmosphere of this restaurant. On the upper level is part of the actual brewery where you can see the big brew kettles where some of that great beer comes from! There is also a private dining room and an area with pool tables and another bar that can be reserved for group events. We've hosted neighborhood events here in the past...and they are always well attended!

Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta is right in the heart of it all. Whether you are headed to the Fox Theatre for a play, the Woodruff Arts Center and High Museum or maybe a late afternoon stroll in Piedmont Park, everything is close by. For those of us that live close by, take out is sometimes the order of the day, but I really pefer a table or even a stool at the bar, and just watch the people. They also have a great outdoor space (when it's not HOTlanta like is was today) to enjoy a few brews and watch the people and cars on Peachtree Street.

Menu and food wise, Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta pretty much has it all. Let me see if I can make your mouth water just my mentioned a few of my menu faves....Garlic Fries, Wedge Salad with Crumbled bleu cheese and bacon, dressed with Bleu Cheese Dressing, Salmon Caesar Salad, Lobster Bisque, Sweet and Spicy Cashew Chicken Stir Fry....and Beer!

Now, I'm kinda of a Plain Jane beer drinker. I like 'em light, not dark. I usually find myself headed for the Golden Export to keep it simple. But, Hefeweizen, to Blond Bock to Marzen...you've got some great beer choices! And the full bar is there to take care of you or your guests that are looking for the Mojioto or Cosmo beverage route.

There is not a staff member in the place that is not similing and helpful everytime I'm there! Always nice to see in a restaurant. They've got onsite parking too, if you are one of those wheeled people and not walking!

Gordon Biersch Midtown Atlanta has kicked off a new promotion that is sure to be a hit with residents and business people alike...Their "10 Under 10 Lunch Specials" Just check out great list of choices for lunch...

Make note of those drink and appetizer specials as well....$3 Mimosas and $5 Bloody Mary's on Saturday and Sunday.....hmmm...Chris, can you reserve me a seat!

The Thom and Ray Team stopped in today, not only to chat with Chris about this blog, but about Midtown Neighbors' Association's new Business Partner Program. Chris has been a great neighborhood supporter! But Ray and I sampled a couple things off the new Brunch menu...and, well, I'll let the pictures do the talkin...
