Last night, Ray and I attended an Art Show in Midtown Atlanta that featured the works of up and coming local artists. Nothing like a good art show to chat with people. One of the featured artists was Midtown's own Peggy Denby. Peggy's art on canvas is quite unique. While some of her "works" are full paintings, others are a combination of photos and painting. If you take a look at the photo below, you will see what a unique art piece this is....
I worked with Peggy and her husband, Don, to sell their Midtown Townhome at The Dakota, and move to Viewpoint Midtown, where they purchased two units and combined them into a unique home. I had joked with Peggy when selling The Dakota that I would like to have one of her works. I walked through the home and could not decide what I wanted. She then suggested, "Why don't you come up with an idea and I'll create it." Ahhhhh. And the result is this painting, which is a grouping of the various Midtown Atlanta condominium buildings! Is it not cool, or what? And if you look closely, you just might find me hanging on street sign!
Here is Don and Peggy, along side the prints of her Midtown Series that she has done, and were on display at the Art of Touch Massage Center. They hosted the Art Show, and the works will be on display for the rest of the month!
I'm now going to put together a collection of pictures from my parents ranch in Montana, and have her create something for my Mom!
On the right, is my partner Ray chatting with Don and Peggy and another Midtown neighbor, Lynda.
It was a delightful evening. If you are interested in Peggy's work, please contact me directly and I'll put you in touch with her!

I love it! It's awesome! I'm sure the one she creates for your mother will be equally unique! My daughter loves Art and has as Associate degree in art. I also love art and enjoy being creative.
Thom
I love to see such talent
Tom
I love it! Any chance she can do somethink along this line for the header on your website. Wouldn't' that be cool?
Cool. I sometimes wish that I could have made a living in art... Photography to be specific... but that was then, this is now.
Thom, I love the piece. I hope you frame it for your office. Margaret's right. A header would be good too!
LOVE IT!! Lucky you, and what a talented friend you have.
Thanks for the email today re Inman; I'm a subscriber so was waiting for the next chapter!! See you soon.
Marilyn: My mom is very much into Early-American antiques, so I'll have to give the artist some guidance!
Tom: Yeah...stick people is as good as I get!
Margaret: Close enough...we are going to have the picture copied for note cards! That will be cool. I tried to use the picture for a header, but it distorts to much.
Lane: Yeah, I use to take 2-4 trips per year...one of them a cruise...then I started selling real estate! Whoops!
Connie: I think the note cards are going to be cool! I'll send you one!
Susie: You should see their condo!
