Time and time again you hear stories of famous entertainers (athletes, musicians, and other celebrities) getting into altercations early in the morning. The most recent news came when Kid Rock (rock musician...known more for his girlfriend (wife?), Pamela Anderson, than his music) was charged with simple battery following a Sunday morning fight at a Waffle House restaurant in Atlanta. A Waffle House of all places... It appears that if you want to meet these famous people you must hang out between the hours of 4-5am (for optimal exposure) at local...ummm...how to put this without offending anyone...I give up...local dumps. Be prepared to talk a little "smack" and you'll be sure to make the news headlines, because unlike most...name calling appears to inflict great blows to these fragile stars than sticks and stones.
OK...this story has been one-sided up until this point. The report states that the altercation began after 39 year old Harlen DeJon Akins recognized a woman in Kid Rock's entourage and exchanged words with her...I guess Kid Rock was only being a true gentleman, not allowing another man to slander a woman in a public place...good for him I guess. At 5am though I'm more of a lover than a hater...and I know when to walk away...I still know the "lyrics" to the "song"..."sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me!"
I wonder if "respectable" celebrities hang out at places such as Waffle House at 5am in the morning...the "sightings" are usually only reported after an altercation takes place. Perhaps I should change my blog title to: How to Meet Famous, Yet Not so Respectable People. I'd be willing to bet Paris Hilton has visited a Waffle House at these early morning hours...I'd be willing to bet she has more than once!
...I always wondered how places like Waffle House obtained pictures of celebrities on their walls...now I know...the pictures are usually closely related to their mugshots!
