Atlanta Mayor, Shirley Franklin's water bill - past six months.

Below is Atlanta Mayor, Shirley Franklin's water bill for the past six months. I think it is very noble and admirable that Mayor Franklin is doing her part to conserve water. This is a great example of why she was elected to represent Atlanta and be given this leadership role...she is leading Atlantans by example during this water crisis.

See her water usage below which was obtained from the City of Atlanta's website:

April

* Note: Usage in July and August was the same but the difference in cost is due to the rate increase that was reflected on the August bill.

Compare this report with this video on the Governor's mansion: http://www.wsbtv.com/video/13649196/index.html

The Governor sure is huffing and puffing, but based on the video about his water usage it doesn't really inspire me to change my consumption. Mayor Franklin does inspire me...she states, "Each of us needs to find new ways to save water and take personal responsibility to do more. No matter how much water we use at home now we need to find ways to reduce that consumption. We are all looking to our government to find long-term policy solutions to this critical issue."
