Saving water and cutting back on energy consumption is just a couple of things we, as consumers can do to help the earth to stay green. Purchasing earth friendly products is another way.
Clothing designers do their part, too. Charles Josef, based in Atlanta, uses earth-friendly fabrics when creating his clothes. He and other clothing designers from this area will be showing their wares at a fashion show called "the Little Green Dress"
What: A Fashion Show
When: On November 17th. The show starts 7 p.m.
Where: The Frazer Center Atrium (1815 South Ponce de Leon Avenue, Decatur)
Why: To benefit EARTH University, a private, non-profit college in Costa Rica.
Price: Ticket prices range from $35 to $100 depending on the seat.

:-( I'll check into it. Thanks.
Thanks for the info Nancy. We definately need to be creative w/ energy and water conservation.
NR,
My favorite shirt is made of Hemp!
I have always wondered about hemp clothing but it looks so rough. I wonder what the show will be like. Thank you for the interesting info.
Nancy, great information. Another way people can conserve is to carpool or telecommute and the goverment will pay you for it. Just go to http://www.commuterrewards.com/cash_for_commuters and follow the instructions.
I just posted a blog on Water Conservation Tips and went to your blog to post a comment and read your blog about "going green"...how 'bout that, great minds think alike.
Woody Harrelson once spoke at my college (Illinois State Univeristy) about going green...I remember he mentioned wearing hemp pants...that got the college crowd's applaud...to answer Todd or Danielle...I have a pair of hemp pants and they are GREAT...very comfortable! I'd recommend them to anyone!
Thanks everyone for your comments.
The original pic that I used was from NASA but for some reason it wouldn't work here. Looked OK in WORD! oh well. Here's a pic of an appropriatly Green Earth - found it in a free clip art site.
Thanks for all your comments!
The pic that I originally had here was from NASA. Looked good in my WORD doc but didn't take well here in the rain. Here's another appropriately Green Earth from a free clip art site.
Nancy, It is interesting that the school that will benefit is in Costa Rica. Latin American countries need more of this as they are really ruining the earth's infrastructure, Karen
We actually have a store here that sells hemp clothing only, they call it the ultimate earth friendly clothing.
How creative and inventive! The little "Green Dress!" A new "must have" for all fashion conscious and earth friendly women! I've even heard they are making bedding/sheets out of bamboo!

Nancy- Thanks for getting the word out, organic, hemp and earth friendly clothing are all great ways to make a statement of support for a greener earth. Katerina
