Remembering September 11, 2001In memory of September 11th.

The city of Duluth GA is a leader is strong country pride. Anyone local to the Duluth area can attest to that. Each memorial Day the names of fallen Duluth GA citizens that served our country and gave their final offering with their lives are remembered on flags, crosses and posts on all the main roads of the city of Duluth GA. This year is no difference in marking the anniversary of September 11, 2001. It is an extremely patriotic gesture. This year for September 11th it is no different. The Duluth clock tower bells will toll at the time each plane crashed on that terrible day in 2001 (8:46 am, 9:03 am, 9:45 am and 10:10 am). The City of Duluth Georgia's Mayor Pro Tem, Jim Dugan, along with a police officer and fireman, will place a wreath at the top of the Town Green in front of the flags displayed in remembrance of the attack on our country at 11:00 am, Friday, September 11th.
