Marietta Hosts The Great Barbecue of the South

What could be better than locally prepared comfort food, served at a fun, outdoor venue on a stunning Fall day? The Great Barbecue of the South is the focus of the Annual Whole Hawg Happenin'--a BBQ and Music Fest taking place at Six Flags White Water in Marietta on Oct. 23, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The BBQ Fest is put on by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta's Cobb County Clubs. Fifteen barbecue restaurants and BBQ caterers will be offering samples of their delights while all different type of music genre's will be playing on stage all day. The event is in partnership with several different Cobb County organizations...including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Cobb County, Six Flags White Water, Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, Gas South, Ed Voyles, Bubba Burger, Life University, WellStar and many more.

Attendance is free and people can pay for samples of BBQ and eat from BBQ restaurant. There will be live music all day on two stages, Classic Car Show, Arts and Crafts Areas, BBQ Alley, the Budweiser Beer Garden, the Bubba Burger Sports Zone and a huge Kids Corner!
