The Marietta Pilgrimage Tour of Homes Continues

A long standing tradition on the first weekend in December continues this year in Marietta, Georgia. Won't you join the Christmas Home Tour through Marietta this year as our community celebrates 24 years of the much honored event. Marietta Welcome Center and Visitors Bureau and Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society organize the tour each year.

This year's tour will be held Saturday and Sunday, December 4th and 5th. Tickets are available for purchase the day of the tour at the Marietta Welcome Center or at any of the tour homes. Tickets for the day tour are $15.00; for the Candelight Tour: $12.00 or for both: $20.00.

Homes on this year's tour include: The McLellan-Apple-Bullington House, The Gordon-Padgett-Owens House, The Reese- Romijn-Powell House, The Millwood- Luxemburger-Kinney House, The Benson-Hardin-Mills House, and The Archibald Howell House. During the Tour, warm up with refreshments at The Bistro at The Brickyard.

It takes over 250 volunteers to make this tour a success so join in the fun and sign up today. As a small token of thanks you will receive a complimentary ticket per shift worked, for use during Day Tour hours.

For those who wish to treat themselves to an extra special event, a preview Gala will be held Friday, December 3rd - "Dreams of a Marietta White Christmas Gala". This is a glamorous black-tie party and preview of the award winning tour of homes. A magical evening of live music, dancing and dining. The evening includes a candlelight tour of selected homes on the Pilgrimage Tour.

The Historic Marietta Trolley will provide a shuttle service from the party site to the tour of homes. Cost for the Gala is $75.00/pp. For more information visit www.mariettapilgrimage.com.
