Karen ~ That's great! I always wish, in those huge dens/great rooms/living rooms, etc., that they would have outlets in the floor even, because it can be quite a conundrum on where to put lamps when the furniture is nowhere near an outlet!

How fun, Karen!  I'll bet you didn't need to use any extention cords on that job!  It's the older houses that are a real challenge with not having enough outlets in the right places.

Karen, I first looked at this blog post when you titled it just staging and I was going to come back and comment on the many electrical fixtures. It was obvious since the electrician used older ivory colored plates...why???  (I know the answer but did you ask him?)

Reminds me of our custom home with a plug every 15 inches but we used Decora fixtures in WHITE.  I did a consult on a very upscale, 20 year old house and I recommended that the owner (electrical contractor) change out ALL of the plugs, switches and outlets to updated Decora (not the rental furniture staging company).  He told me I was nuts BUT he did it and it just makes the house so much more current.

It is SO-O frustrating to constantly have to run extension cords to place things properly.  I guess that wasn't a problem in this house.  Your after shots are GREAT as always!

Karen:  Wow!  Don't think I have seen so many outlets.  Normally I am fighting to have enough outlets.  Bringing in furniture sure makes them go away.  Great job!

Great job Karen.  Clearly this was a huge job and everything looks wonderful!

Great job and the lighting is great.  Those extra outlets sure do come in handy and electricians love to put them in.  Thanks for sharing.

I had a staging job where all of the electrical plugs were at about chest height. That was such a difficult one to stage, with the lamp cords going UP the wall! Made me crazy. I'm all about hiding cords, and it was impossible that time!

Great work Karen!  I really like your work and photo of the kitchen/dining area.  Love it when you don't have to hunt for those outlets or have to use lots of extension cords.
