I Hate Mosquitos!! Cutter Bug Free Backyard Kills Them Well

Mosquitoes really should be the state insect of Georgia. We have numerous varieties of mosquitoes that end up wreaking havoc 24/7. When the evening mosquitoes go home at day break, the Asian Tiger Mosquitoes wake up and take over the day shift.

I've tried just about everything out there to fight back. I've tried the lotions, the Mosquito Magnets that cost me $600, the wrist band, Citronella candles, Citronella plants and the list goes on.

The only thing that works really well for me is a product by Cutter called Bug Free Backyard. The active ingredient is permethrin. You hook the bottle up to a hose and spray it on your bushes and ivy and on any standing water. It leaves a residual that will kill adult mosquitoes for about 3-4 weeks after application. I actually use a backpack mister to get it right where I want it.

I hate using chemicals and always worry about the adverse affects. Permethrin seems to be pretty safe though. They've been using it in the army. They actually soak clothes in it to act as a mosquito repellent. The one negative is that I've read that it is not good for cats. I guess you have to pick your poison. Is it more risky to use this chemical or to be bitten by mosquitoes and get something like the West Nile Virus?

I've been using it for the past 5 years and it has done the job for me. I'm a mosquito fanatic. I know where they hide and do everything I can to destroy their breeding grounds. What I found the most fascinating is how they will breed in small puddles of water in gutters that don't drain completely. If there's any water that stands in your gutter for more than a few days, you are guaranteed to see the wiggling little larvae swimming around there. Any small amount of water will be able to breed hundreds of mosquitoes.
