Today started off like any other day in my life. I got up, showered and shaved. I went down stairs to read today's news, poured myself a cup of coffee and poured myself a bowl of cereal! What do you think I got when I opened the new box of Lucky Charms Cereal? There was a Nobel Prize! I'm not kidding. A few Green clovers, and yellow moons would have been great , but there it was. Inside there was a free prize. I received my own "Nobel Peace Prize!" I couldn't believe it. I never did anything to deserve that. Lucky for me no one else contested my winning the Nobel Prize at the breakfast table...because they were too stunned in disbelief! I mean half the nation would drop their jaws if they ever figured out it was that easy to win. Personally, I was in total disbelief for a moment, but it was only a moment! I thought to myself...'What the hell have I ever done to deserve anything like this? After all... I am not Mother Teresa, The 14th Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, Lech Walesa, Andrei Sakharov, Henry A. Kissinger, Martin Luther King Jr., or Dag Hammarskjöld!' Wow you wake up one morning and there it is. A Nobel Peace Prize! I'm sure it caught a lot of persons off guard when I received the prize. I thought about it all the way until lunch hour when I went to McDonalds. The kid next to me got an "Olympic Gold Medal in his lunch!" Go figure!
