What is Your Favorite Real Estate Story????

If you are a Realtor then you have many stories to tell and share with
others. I'm sure you have a FAVORITE Story and you must have the
WORST story as well.

My favorite story was working with a single mom with 5 children. Her
husband left her and she didn't even have a job. She didn't know
much about financing but this woman learned it all and I SOLD her
the very first home she purchased on her own. We both cried at the
closing table when she said " I DID IT"! And she did it on her own.
She set an example for those 5 children that she was strong and I was
so proud of her. I still think of her 20+ years later.

My worst story was when 20+ years ago I represented a buyer and
a seller at the same time. Now it's called DUAL agency which at that
time did not exist. The buyer was a difficult buyer and seller was Japanese
flying that afternoon to Japan. The mortgage company sent a courier
to the closing attorney's office with the wrong package. My seller
ended up missing her flight to Japan, I ended up sending out for pizza,
sandwiches and ASPIRIN... and when package finally arrived all the
numbers were wrong. Being on both sides of the table I had to straighten
everything out, get my seller on a new flight which she ended up also
missing. So after about 5 - 6 hrs. at the attorney's office we finally
closed. It was almost 9 p.m. my seller missed the last flight and I had
to take her out to wine and dine her and my buyer was a happy camper
in the end. It all worked out but it was a comedy of errors!
