I can not believe it's that time of year already. It's much too soon and much too warm. But here it is time for football. The part I'm most looking forward to is that first game where we'll need blankets and hot coco. Fall is just around the corner when the football helmets start cracking.

I have been a band booster parent and I have watched my Abigail on the field. Photo left is of her when she was the team manager her Senior year. Note the cast on her arm... the one game she missed that year was the day she had the surgery to re-attach her thumb. She wanted to go that night too, but thankfully was drugged so when I kept telling her I was going to "get her there" she believed me until Sunday night when I finally told her she'd missed the game.

I'm personally not much of a football fan on a professional level, but I always enjoy seeing kids play. They play with their hearts for the love of the game and you just can't beat that kind of spirit on the field.
