On it's way... moonshine, whiskey, gin and rum.
Milledgeville has had more than it's fair share of job losses and it's always a win win when two things happen like with this great news. First a once closed factory that was sitting empty will be occupied again. That's always fantastic. Those closed up buildings with big empty parking lots are NOT attractive. And of course a new business means new jobs. Currently Shawn Hall says only about 10 new employees will be hired, but that number could grow after they start brewing. But for those ten people it's fabulous news. And of course it will also bring tax revenue to the city of Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
I can't wait to try some hometown brewed peach moonshine. I'll keep you guys posted on when they open and have the shelves stocked. Perhaps we can meet at the dock and have a toast to the "good news".
I'm glad to see a new business instead of a just closed or "going out of business sign". I hope that next week I'll have yet one more post about more jobs coming to Milledgeville, Georgia.
BTW- photo for visual purposes only, no connection to new Milledgeville Brewery.
