Want More Visits to your Blog Posts? Use your Active Rain Short URL!

Want to dramatically increase the visits to your blog posts?

Here's one SIMPLE way...

Over the last 6 weeks, I've been using the ActiveRain "short url" to promote my blog posts on Twitter and WOW what a difference it makes!

THE RESULTS:

>> I used the short url to promote 18 of my 21 blog posts on Twitter. On average, it increased the # of visits to the blog post by 28%

>> The lowest traffic increase was 18% and the highest was 49%

>> "Real Life" Example -- Posted "New Listings in Grant Park Atlanta" on ActiveRain about 12 hours ago (at midnight) and had 37 people view the article. When I posted the short url on Twitter, I had 17 click-thrus in 12 minutes (yes 12 minutes!)

Many of us spend quite a bit of time each week writing content, researching and building our blog, so why not do everything we can to share the information with as many people as humanly possible??

For those of you who haven't hopped on the Twitter bandwagon just yet, this is an excellent way to not only get started, but to drive traffic back to your beautiful blog!

CREATING THE SHORT URL:

This part is easy.

At the bottom of every blog post (under your name) you will see a "Generate Short URL" link.

Just click on it and it will create a unique short url (see below) that you can cut and paste to Twitter, Facebook or Google +.

Once you've created your short url and posted on Twitter, wait about an hour and then take a peek at your ActiveRain Statistics (located on the left hand side of your personal AR Home page).

You will be able to see the visits to your blog post and then in the far right column, the traffic generated from Twitter:

I tweeted all three of the blog posts above in the last 45 minutes and 38 visitors have already stopped by my Atlanta Real Estate blog.

Hopefully this inspires you to not only utilitze the Active Rain short url, but to hop on the Twitter bandwagon!
