Ikea marketing - it is awesome ! I wish I could promote like them...! When they come to town EVERYONE knows it, and they stand in line for the openings... Just amazing.
Karen;
This sounds wonderful!!! I am so excited about being invited to the Round Table. I didn't know what to expect, so to read this blog and see what is going to take place is so very exciting. I am placing the date on my calendar now! I LOVE IKEA and can't wait to be able to physically meet so many of you that I have grown to enjoy " knowing " via the Rain in person!!
Cheers!
This is just SOOOO clever.
Marketing is what I call "breaking through the noise". This blog and all that you arranged with IKEA does just that.
I need to print this out and sit down with a cup of coffee and a pencil and go to work.
Me
Karen - will you print out a picture of my floating head and bring it to the meeting? It will almost be like I'm there. :)
This brilliant idea was ALL Karen! It's going to be a great meeting and I'm so excited to be co-hosting this event!
Kathy
Karen - OMG! You are BRILLIANT! IKEA?! I SO wish I could be there to meet y'all and be there for this!
Jackie
Wow...my invite definetly looks boring after this - tee hee. GREAT job and can't wait to hear how it goes.
aww i wanna be there ;)
Karen, THAT is so awesome. IKEA! You're going to get to see how IKEA does their staging and why. You never cease to amaze me Marine Corps mom. You must never sleep!
I can't wait, girls...If I can be of any help you know how to reach me. See you then! =)
Karen ~ What an awesome idea for your RoundTable -- and a very clever invitation! Wish I could join you ... but the drive is (as you know) over 2,600 miles!!
Hey Richard, come on UP and enjoy the fun!
GINA I am so glad you are planning to attend. You will definately be getting an e-vite and watch for Kathy Nielsen's post so you can choose the am or pm round table session -- looking forward to meeting you. session
Thx, Craig -- let me know if you need help solving that very complicated crossword puzzle :-) We want you to sovle it so you'll know where and when to come for our Round table! so will you be joining us?
Maureen -- great idea -- I reserved you a seat next to Craig for the 10:00 Round Table!
Hey Kathy -- you forgot to mention that you had the raffle idea! Awesome, way to go!
Hi Cindy -- you can ride with Maureen Bray; she can pick you up on the way!
Terry -- why don't you and Nora drive on up? I'll fix you a guest room on one of my prop blow up beds!
Hi Abby -- can't wait to meet you. Kathy is a big fan of yours (brags on ya all the time!)
Hi Maureen -- on our second round table event; let's have it in the middle of the country; say Kansas . . . then we each only have to drive 1,400 miles! We can each charter buses and pick people up along the way! Kinda like "road show round table!
Karen - I want to play in your yard...it is so much more fun :) You are so darn creative it isn't even funny!
Hi Jackie! All I can say is everyone should ask Santa for a round trip ticket to ATLANTA! Now, wouldn't that be fun?
and as a side note, I see that somehow all my responses have gotten out of order... but definately they all are important
Hey Beth, I think EVERY ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE ROUND TABLES ARE PHEOMINAL, just that they are happening. Tell me, how'd the e-vites work for you? -- that's high up on mine and Kathy's t do list.
Sheron, I think you are so kind, it's not even funny! You will be attending, correct? Or do I have to seat you at the floating head table with Craig and Maureen H.?
Wow, I'm blown away! Mind if I approach IKEA here? I've been wracking my mind trying to figure out who to approach because our Ontario RT takes place over lunch. IKEA. Wow!
Hi Dane -- I just sent an e-mail to Joelle regards the steps taken to hold the event at IKEA -- I will forward it to you. They are great resource/partner for us (SIF/RESA) to build a relationship with. Keep in mind that lunch is the expense of the attendee -- that's the WIIFM for Ikea in effort to get all the rest for us -- tours, raffles, private seating section, private cafeteria entrance, private cafeteria food line for the event, round table set up, AND WORKING TOGETHER TO GET PRESS; which is very exciting!
If anyone else wants info on how we set it up and contact info -- e-mail me for specifics.
Karen thanks!
Those floating heads are GREEEEAT! lol!
Jackie
Ikea, great idea...have a good one, going to Nashville in February, drat, not close enough. Terrylynn:-)
Karen, I have wanted to be at all the Round Tables which have taken place so far. But my gosh girl you have me chomping at the bit to attend this one. So let me see -- I either have to be a floating head or I have to be willing to sleep on an already peopled blow up bed or . . . what are my other choices? Any possibility you can take in a video cam? No wait. . . I'll just beam myself over to ya'll.
You're welcome, Dane
Jackie, you make me smile! Glad you like them! Anyone know if Craig or Maureen H. have seen it?
Terry Lynn -- Hey! doesn't Anthea have one in Nashville?
Yvonne ! Here's another option...have Maureen Bray pick you us in the tour bus...you are in between Portland and Atlanta, right? and, I think it would be cool to record a session, it could someday go in the Smithsonian history museum representing the initial growth of the home staging industry! Does one need legal agreements to record, both from IKEA and for participants?
Karen - sadly enough, you will have to give me a virtual seat next to Craig and Maureen...I just know you are going to have the best RT and if you could record it, that would be awesome. I was in Atlanta once for a convention. We never left the hotel and I don't even remember what the convention was for but I do remember how hot and muggy it was outside. Have a great one!
Yeah, get everyone to sign a release and then film away!
