Campus Restaurant Renovated and Open to the Public - Young Harris College

Towns County located in the North Georgia Mountains known for its beautiful mountains, streams, and waterfalls

The campus restaurant has been closed for months and Sharp Memorial Methodist Church opened their fellowship hall so meals could be prepared for faculty and staff while months of renovations and hard work was completed. The campus restaurant recently re-opened and approximately 500 people were treated to great meals at the all improved restaurant. Prior to the renovations, the dining hall looked more like an outdated hospital cafeteria. Alumni and faculty were impressed with the new state-of-the-art facility.

All the food is prepared in full view with salad, Italian, grill and other exhibition type stations. The dining area is clean and has a contemporary style. The menu offers a much healthier selection of food. Students can now enjoy various types of food throughout the day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Another great change is the restaurant is open to the Public! Dinner prices are $6.25, lunch is $5.50 and Sunday brunch is $7.35.

Donna, It sounds as if I would like that restaurant!  I do like when you can see the way food is prepared and how nice that the College Campus restaurant is open to everyone.

Carole:  I will like this too and it will be fun to soak of some of that really small town atmosphere and mingle with students and hear how they see things these days.  I was happy to hear that they had opened it to the public.

What a great partnership, with the church opening their doors to the College!  Towns County sounds like such a beautiful place, and I love your waterfall photo.  This is an excellent localism post that county residents should really appreciate.  By the way, I like your new photo!

Margaret:  That's one of the special charms of mountain living.  There is a true sense of community and neighbors help neighbors and churches do so much for the community that never get recognized.  Lots of beautiful waterfalls in our area.  We are abundantly blessed.  Thank you for your comment and  about the photo!
