Another positive move for Jasper GA pending home sales week-on-week, pushing the total number of houses under contract to a promising total of 47. New listings on market also up, but a slight drop in overall inventory of homes for sale in Pickens County, due to expired and withdrawn listings. Hopefully a trend that can hold . . .

New Listing and Pending Sales Activity for 02/23/08 - 02/29/08

• There were 27 new home listings added, at an average ask price of $275,929. Low price was $49,999 and high price was $640,000;
• Eight homes were placed under contract (pending sales), for which the average list price was $157,362. Low price was $59,900 and high price was $398,900;
• Average time on market for homes placed under contract was 78 days;
• One home was reported as "Sold". A 3/2 for $135,000.
• One new foreclosure listing added, three placed under contract.

End of Week Totals - 2/29/08

• At week's end, there were a total of 580 active home listings in Pickens County, with an average list price of $342,979. Low price was 39,900 and high price was $2,750,000;
• There were a total of 47 homes under contract, at an average list price of $201,015. Low list price was $55,000 and high list price was $624,900;
• Average number of days on market for all pending sales was 114 days;
• Thirteen active foreclosure listings, twelve under contract.
