I have no idea where the saying comes from. Not sure I even want to know. But here's my Active Rain example of how GOOD things come in threes.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Alice McCarthy. She needed a vacant home staged and found me on Active Rain. How'd she come to contact me? Because she is a Realtor and member here. I staged, but also I met a new friend and business partner. Alice and I had the most pleasant day together staging and her listing looks great.
The next week I received a call from an unknown colleague in New York -- Neil Bindelglass. I was doing a marketing mailing for home staging services in Fayette County, Georgia. Unknowingly, I mailed one to his mother who has her home on the market. She was so impressed, she mailed it to her son in New York -- Neil, a Home Stager! Neil called me and we talked for an hour. He has since joined active rain. Please check him out!
The next week, when the staging phone rings, it is an opportunity for staging a vacant. Following the process of evaluating the property, meeting the client, providing the solution and getting the business, I found out the new client of mine just went through real estate training. Anxiously, I shared the value of Active Rain and encouraged her to join. Her response: "That's how I found you! I found stagers by looking on Active Rain!" Check her out, profile is in progress, but you will love her smile! Beverlin Hammett Beverlin is now someone that I plan to always keep in touch with. On a scale of 1 to 10, she takes inspiration to a level 15. How lucky am I? I'm staging her home next week and can't wait!
Blog well, my friends, as good things come in threes (for free) from the rain. I am set and ready for my next three! Bring 'em on!

I always check on active rain for people to refer, stagers, out of state realtors etc. It's always nice to sort of know someone or their professionalism before you randomly look for someone to refer.
What a neat trio of good things Karen. Obviously AR has provided us all with some very nice experiences and great friends.
Well congratulations are in order. I have had nibbles but no bites so far.
Smiling...'great' things come in threes indeed...a wonderful engagement ring, a beautiful wedding ceremony and a wonderful honeymoon (3)...a nice black dress, matching shoes and of course a handbag (3)...hey there is something to the threes...but when it comes to getting a vacant home that has been sitting on the market for over 6 months sold...
(1)Karen Dembsky, an excited and compassionate owner and stager of Peachtree Home Staging;
(2)Robert Royale, a home improvement genius, of Royaleone Home Improvement Inc;
(3) Beverlin Hammett, a 'weary client'...that would be me...again, there goes that number 3 again. (smile).
Everyone, Karen Dembsky, of Peachtree Home Staging, who I only met about a week ago, through AR has been a heaven sent. She has made a number of recommendations as to how to not only stage my home but also some minor up grades that would enhance an already incredible house. But wait there's more...she came in excited about staging the home as well as with recommendations as to how to better market the home for sale.
I must admit..and Karen does not know this yet...well I guess she does now being that she reads AR (smile) I truly fell in love with Karen within our first 15 minutes of meeting...how does one fall in love with a stager so fast you may ask? Karen did not come in with "I am selling my staging service and you must use my service because without me your home will not sell...in this current market". Her words as well as demeanor was that of someone who loves what they do and more importantly, wanting to ensure that the final out come of our meeting was..."I am here to assist you with making the best decision for you and the sale of your house". "If we work together great, if not...it was great meeting you". She did not say all of this but, her kindness and her personality exuded nothing less.
Now, for the crème de' le' crème she brought with her an addition, a Mr. Robert Royale of RoyaleOne Home Improvement LLC who has put in not only time to paint cabinets, walls, take down, build up, and lay tile...but he also has an eye for color, fixtures, and furniture. Along with his colleague, Lorenzo, an up and coming video game designer, they picked out the appropriate paint for the kitchen while taking into consideration the current floor and lighting of the kitchen. They picked out lights and chandeliers for the kitchen, breakfast room, dining room and master bathroom. WAIT...there is more...the tile, the tile, the tile. The master bathroom looks WONDERFUL...and even as I type this...its still not finish and it's already looking amazing.
I can go on and on about Peachtree Home Staging and RoyaleOne Home Improvement Inc, but I do believe, when threes come together, something AMAZING is bound to happen.
Kindest Regards,
Beverlin M. Hammett
Beverlin - I'd like to add to your list of accolades regarding Karen. She's witty, intelligent and perhaps one of the best writers whom any of us will ever meet. I had the good fortune of working with Karen and just like you, found her to be a delight to be around.
You've got a great trio created and I wish all three of you the very best.
Kathy
Karen ~ This is wonderful! I wish you continued success. I haven't read too many posts of stagers receiving business from Active Rain (it's usually the Realtors), but I am so glad to see that it's there.
Great Karen! Thanks for sharing the news!! I too have received great clients just from my profile page in Active Rain..it is a fabulous source of meeting new people and contacts! Regards-Kathleen G
Karen- Thank you so much for sharing your story of "three"! And what a delightful advocate you have found in Beverlin! I have been lucky enough to receive two jobs from being here on AR, and I look forward to my third!!!
Hi June! Absolutely, AR is the place! You can get a feel for someone by what they post and share here!
Hey there Gary! You certainly have it right about AR. It's not often you find a spot that generates the rewards one can benefit from that you find here!
morning, Gayle! Keep hanging girlfriend! You may be surprised as to where those nibbles will take you. The friendships I have made here are as awesome as the income (and honestly, more valuable!)
BEVERLIN! Whoo Hoo, girlfriend! I read your comment smiling ear to ear and knew you were, too!
We do have quite the threesome going! Your home is incredible and I am so honored to be working in unison with you and Robert!
Thx for taking the time to write such kind words about how special Robert is and also the a lovely testimony regarding our first encounter! I am certain there will be many more! I am humbled actually -- You truly are such an inspiration!
Hey Kathy -- that was so nice of you to express such kind words! I like the witty thing, as opposed to saying how "silly" I can be :-) You are one of those special gems that came to me in a threesome as well as a result of AR:
1.) Kathy Nielsen -- a top notch stager, and an absolute professional business women extraordinaire
2.) Craig Schiller -- the founder of the AR Stage It Forward Group and the Round Tables
3.) Gina McNew -- Host of Diva in the House- The Voice of Real Estate Staging
Boy -- theres some true love floatin' around in this post, I'll tell ya!
Hi Kathy! Yes it's true! If a Realtor here needs a stager many of them will look for you here. Great little bonus!
Hi Kathleen! Very cool, girlfriend! It pays (literally) to keep that profile up to date!
Your third is just around the corner Elaine! Hey, then it's time for the next good three things! I am ready and waiting!
Yes good things do come in threes (and here on AR by the hundreds because of all the great people I've met here) and you are one great blogger and stager Karen D.
What a delightful story and networking experience. I love the Rain for that and so much more. I've been MIA around here but hope to check back soon.
Thanks for keeping in touch too Karen ;-) we are on the right road....
Hi Karen;
I was just trying to catch up on posts I have missed and I found this one of yours. What a wonderful experience...so glad that you shared it with us. I am also humbled by your comment about special gems. I feel the same way about you and had it not been for active rain the possibility of our meeting would have been very slim. You are one outstanding lady...professionally and personally! Can't wait to hear about your next round of threes.....
Hi Karen.. congratulations on your collection of rain gems!
Glad to hear you are having so much success on active rain. I love this place!
What an upbeat and uplifting post. Keep them coming
Good to read your post, Karen. Congratulations on the well deserved business. AR gave you the lead, but you made it happen!
