No it's not the million dollar closing, but that's not why I got into real estate. Every deal no matter how big, or small is special to me as was 95 Mountainside Lane in Covington.
When I first met my clients, they had not had a good real estate experience. Tired, frustrated they called on me to try again. Needless to say I'm always up for a challenge. Covington, like so many cities across the USA has been impacted with extended time on the market, decrease in value and so forth. Pricing the property was key as well as looking at other options like Lease Purchase and Tenant Placement.
It wasn't long before we had an offer, but unfortunately it fell through. Not to cry over spilled milk we moved forward. I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason. The reason was Petrece (our now tenant). Looking to start a new life, our property fit her family like a dream. Literally she almost cried when her application was approved and again when she signed the lease.
It's a warm feeling to know that I had a hand in helping someone find a "Home for the holidays." As for my clients, they were the BEST! They did what it took to ensure the property showed beautifully as well as made sure inspection items were taken care of right down to a septic tank letter. Having rental property was not their first choice but having an open mind has at least allieviated 1 mortgage payment.
By finding a tenant I helped my client and a family.
Happy Thanksgiving.
