Ardsley Park Ardsley Park is a Savannah favorite. Most homes were built in the first part of 1900s and Ardsley Park is filled with charming bungalows, larger two story homes to mansions. Just a 5 to 10 minute drive to Memorial Hospital. Ardsley Park is a favorite of many doctors and medical professionals. Parkside Separated from Ardsley Park by Water's Avenue, Parkside get's it's name because of the proximity to Savannah's beautiful Daffin Park, a sprawling park with tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball, running and dog walking. Parkside offers beautiful older homes and bungalows just a short walk to the park and about a 10 minute drive to Memorial Hospital. Midtown The Savannah midtown area is filled with neighborhoods like Kensington Park, Groveland, Habersham Woods, and Fairway Oaks. Most homes built around the 1950s to the early 1980. Only about 5 to 10 minutes from Memorial University Medical Center. Historic and Victorian Districts At under 20 minutes from Memorial, both the Historic and Victorian Districts offer single family homes, condos, townhomes and lofts in all price ranges. Gordonston This older neighborhood of early to mid 20th century homes, nestled among majestic oaks and mature landscaping is very similar to Ardsley Park. Gordonston is under a 15 minute drive from Memorial and 10 minutes from the Historic District. Great shopping is only about 5 minutes away with Home Depot, Target, Staples, Piggly Wiggly, Starbucks, The Victory Square Cinemas and more. Isle of Hope Beautiful Isle of Hope is just a short drive away, thanks to the Harry Truman Parkway. Memorials proximity to the parkway at Derenne Avenue can have you home to Isle of Hope in 15 to 20 minutes. This picturesque community on deep water and the neighboring community of Sandfly are longtime Savannah favorites. Under 30 minutes from Memorial Wilmington and Whitemarsh Islands The islands are a bit farther out but still convenient enough to Hunter. With a short ride down the Truman Parkway to Victory drive you can be home on the islands in about 20 to 30 minutes. Lots of homes on the island were built in the 60s thru the 80s but the 1990s to present has seen a lot of new construction on the islands as well. You'll find a variety of single family homes, condos and town homes in all price ranges. Georgetown A very popular community, the Georgetown area is comprised of a number of unique and charming subdivisions off of HWY 204 (Abercorn Extension) and is about 25 to 30 minutes from Memorial depending on where you live within Georgetown and allowing for traffic. The community has continued to grow through the past few decades and is still growing with new construction. You can find a variety of homes in all price ranges in Georgetown Berwick Plantation The Berwick Plantation Community is made up of a variety of neighborhoods of newer single family homes and townhomes including brand new construction. Stonebridge and Legacy Square are two neighborhoods are two of the most popular and affordable neighborhoods within Berwick Plantation. Close to shopping, great amenities and convenience to Memorial Hospital at about a 25 minute drive, make Berwick Plantation another favorite. Henderson Golf Community If golf is your sport then you may want to consider Henderson, featuring an 18 hole championship golf course. Located on Savannah's southside off Highway 17, just down the road from Berwick Plantation, Berwick is a golfing community convenient to Memorial at about 25 minutes away. Godley Station With about a 25 and 30 minute drive from Memorial University Medical Center to most neighborhoods in Pooler, this community is quite popular. Pooler has seen and continues to see a huge growth of new homes in an affordable price range. The Villages of Godley Station is the largest community with a variety of neighborhoods. Pooler Parkway at Godley Station offers lots of shopping and including Walmart and Home Depot and a variety of shops and restaurants without driving in to Savannah. Savannah Highlands About 5 minutes from Godley Station shopping, off Jimmy Deloach Pkwy is another growing community call Savannah Highlands offering a variety of new home communities from townhomes to large all brick homes loaded with upgrades. Drive time to Memorial University Medical Center is about 25 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. Savannah Quarters The Savannah Quarters golf community is just off the Pooler Pkwy exit at I-16 and offers a variety of new construction neighborhoods including The Gates, Hamilton Grove, Westbrook, The Village and Easthaven. All are under a 30 minute drive to Memorial Hospital. My intent is to give you an overview of some of the most popular areas close to Memorial University Medical Center. The Greater Savannah Area is filled with many diverse and unique communities in addition to the ones that I have listed here, but I hope that this is a helpful starting point.
