We ate at Gary's Bistro this evening. What a fabulous meal! I hadn't yet heard about it since it has only been opened for 2 months. They sent out a mailer and we checked it out. I am glad we did.
The menu ranges in price from about $8-18 for an entree. Tonight's special was BBQ chicken and mashed potatoes for $8.95. I didn't order it, but they have nightly specials like that.
Granite counter tops and semi-open kitchen make it feel warm. The wait staff was friendly and gave oodles of attention to my kids- always a plus. They also serve boiled peanuts prior to the meal.
I had the chicken quesadilla. Talk about cheesy! Tons of it wrapped in a spinach tortilla with tomato, onion, and spinach. It was very good and huge.
My wife had the black angus burger with the soup of the day- lobster bisque. The soup was outstanding as was the burger. Again, huge portions.
My kids had the personal pizza. It too was large (they ate their apples and not their pizza- go figure lol)
We had an amazing banana pudding for dessert. It was among the best I have had. The wafers seemed to be crumbled inside and they used a flame to brown some sugar over the top. It was pricey, but was enough for the 4 of us to share.
I would highly recommend Gary's Bistro. They were busy, but service was excellent. They even have a treasure chest for the kids- what more can you ask for?
