As the old saying goes...You are never too old to learn! With that in mind, why not start a college education or go back and finish one that is in progress, you won't regret it. To help give you a jumpstart, below are Colleges in Middlle Georgia within 30 miles of Houston County Georgia.

The college also has a 71 acre campus on the corner of University Drive and Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins, as well as an area at Robins Air Force Base in building 905.

The college was originally a junior college but is now the largest undergraduate school in the area. It offers Associate and Bachelor Degrees, Certificates, and Career Programs. The college currently offers 18 Bachelor's Degrees with 31 majors.

Macon State College also offers a student life program which provides a health clinic, wellness program, academic and career counseling, over 30 student organizations, and a variety of sports to attending students. Students interested in athletics can play on competitive teams in football, soccer, baseball, tennis, and even cheerleading.

Middle Georgia Technical College is located at 80 Cohen Walker Drive in Warner Robins, Georgia. It originally opened as a vocational center nearly 38 years ago, but did not adopt the current name until 2000. MGTC offers Associate's and credit programs with certificates or diplomas. The college offers a variety of programs for students including, but not limited to: Aircraft Structural Technology, Commercial Truck Driving, Criminal Justice, Drafting, Welding and Joining Technology, Cosmetology, Dental Hygiene, Medical Assisting, Paralegal Studies, and Surgical Technology.

MGTC also offers many joint programs with the Houston County Career Academy. Interested students can also join one of the many organizations such as "Single Parent," "Students Age 30 and Over," and "Geared and Ready to Empower and Teacher (G.R.E.A.T.) Club."

Their main campus is located in Macon at 1400 Coleman Avenue, and has been there for nearly 140 years. The university offers Bachelor's, Master's, Post-Master's, Doctoral, and Professional Degrees.

Their colleges and schools include Liberal Arts, Business and Economics, Engineering, Education, Music, Nursing, Continuing & Professional Studies, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy & Health Services, and Theology. Also, Mercer offers many sports programs, which for men include: baseball, basketball, cross country, football (coming in 2013), golf, lacrosse, rifle, soccer, and tennis. For women's sports there is basketball, cross country, golf, rifle, sand volleyball, soccer, softball, and tennis.

The university offers interested students over 115 Greek Life and Campus Life organizations, which fall into the following categories: Academic, Club Sports/Recreation, Faith-Based, Governance, Honor Society, Media/Arts, Multicultural, Programming, Service, Social Greek, and Special Interest.

Georgia Military College is a community junior college. The Warner Robins campus is located at 801 Duke Avenue. GMC only offers Associate's with either a concentration in the Arts, Sciences, or Applied Sciences. There are several AA, AS, and AAS degree choices to choose from. GMC also offers 20 student organizations which include the "Drama Club," "Amateur Radio Club," and "Business Club." There are currently no athletic student programs at the Warner Robins campus.

Middle Georgia College is located at 1100 Second Street in Cochran, Georgia. The college began nearly 124 years ago as a junior college. MGC offers both Associate's and Bachelor's in a wide range of fields such as Aviation Management and Logistics Management. The college offers co-ed housing, a wellness center, and nearly 50 student organizations. In addition, MGC offers athletic programs in baseball, basketball, soccer, and softball.

Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, the school has been a historic landmark since 1993. The college offers one undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Arts with over 30 majors. It also offers two graduate degrees in Master of Education in Early Childhood and Executive Master of Business Administration.

Wesleyan's athletic program includes basketball, cross country, equestrian, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. It offers residence housing, 26 special interest student organizations, two service organizations, four religious organizations, and Departmental Leadership Groups, Honor Societies, and Musical Groups.

Central Georgia Technical College is located at 3300 Macon Tech Drive in Macon with additional campuses in Roberta, Forsyth, Jeffersonville, Milledgeville, Gray, and Eatonton. The college is a two-year commuter college and has been offering educational services for the past 45 years. CGTC offers Associate's and diplomas in Business Technology, Health Technology, Information Technology, Public Services, Technical, and Trade and Industrial with a number of corresponding majors. It has 10 student organizations, a fitness center, and offers basketball as its lone sports program.
