August 2009 residential real estate sales volume in Watkinsville, GA showed a decline in the 12 month sliding sales volume after it rose in July.

Annual volume fell by 4.3% in August. The average Days on Market (D.O.M.) had a slight rise and while average prices rose and median prices remained virtually flat. This is ending 5 consecutive months of falling average and median prices. First time home buyers are still a strong part of the market. That, coupled with an increase in foreclosure purchases, prices are still down 5.5% from last year.
