Death of a Hawaiian, Aloha Dwight K. Burgess

My former boyfriend( from 1977 to mid 1982), Dwight Kunani Burgess pasted away on May 21, 2009 in Winnetka, California. Born & raised on Kauai as a young man he loved to bodysurf, boogie board and have fun. Later in life he moved to Winnetka , California where he spent the later part of his life doing volunteer work. These are photos of Dwight in younger years at Hanalei & Brennecke's Beach in Poipu.

A Celebration Of Life Service was held for Dwight on September 27, 2009 at Poipu Beach Park. Dwight's brother, James Burgess, seen in the photo below releases the calabash of Dwight's ashes into the water at Brennecke's as his family and friends look on.

Dwight, we will miss you. Forever you will remain in our hearts. Aloha Julie
