Art Maui 2009

I am absolutely delighted to announce that my mother, Sarah K. Howard, has once again been selected to participate in Art Maui.

Art Maui started in 1979, with a group of artists who wanted to provide a venue for local artists to showcase original work, and to encourage the collection of art. Today, Maui is home to one of the nations most vibrant art scenes, with Art Maui it's most prestigious art event.

As hundreds of artists submit works each year to this juried competition, Art Maui provides the public with an opportunity to view the best and brightest artists in varied medium. Each year, you'll find works in ceramics, video, photography, painting, digital images, woodwork, quilting, textiles, jewelry and more.

Art Maui 2009, a free exhibition, will take place from June 7th to July 5th at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center's Schaefer International Gallery.
