"TALES OF HUMPBACKS: THE LATEST RESEARCH DISCOVERIES AND JOURNEY TO SAVE THEM"

Humpback whaleNo matter how many times I have seen a humpback whale breach or caught a glimpse of a tail when the whale heads into a deep dive I still stop and watch in amazement. I am fascinated by these creatures who choose to spend their winters in the waters surrounding Maui. If you want to learn more about these beautiful animals there is an excellent opportunity to do so this Saturday evening, February 4, 2012.

Greg Kaufman, founder of the Pacific Whale Foundation, a researcher for more than 35 years, author, and activist on behalf of the whales, will host an evening focused on sharing the latest discoveries in whale research from around the globe. He has worked tirelessly to save the whales and will also share his stories on the progress and events from his participation in the International Whaling Commission's Scientific Committee.

This free event will take place at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the main ballroom. No-host cocktails at 6 p.m. To make reservations (which are suggested), please call the Pacific Whale Foundation at 808.249.8811, extension 1. The Wailea Beach Marriott Resort is located at 3700 Wailea Alanui in Wailea.
