2ND ANNUAL MAUI OPEN STUDIOS EVENT--OPENING CELEBRATION AND PREVIEW EXHIBITION

Do you know how many fabulously talented artists live right here on Maui? Maui Open Studios hosts an island-wide event to introduce the public to these artists and to feature their works. For three consecutive weekends in February there will be an opportunity to meet the artists in their studios. Many of the artists will be doing live demonstrations as well as serving refreshments.

But first, this all kicks off with the Opening Celebration/Preview Exhibition on Friday, February 4, from 6 to 9 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the over 100 artists who are participating, see a sampling of their works, and plan your visits for the following three weekends.

The Opening Celebration will be held at Maui Tropical Plantation at 1670 Honoapiilani Highway in Wailuku. This event is free and there will be live music, a cash bar, and no-host pupus. You can pick up your complimentary copy of the Maui Open Studios Guidebook, which provides information on the artists and maps of their locations.

Maui Open Studios has been divided the island into three sections for the Open Studios weekends, as shown on the map below:

The Open Studio Event schedule is:

West, Central, and South Maui: February 11-12

North and Upcountry Maui: February 18-19

Road to Hana, Hana, and East Maui: February 25-26

All studios will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on their scheduled Open Studios Weekend.
