ULUPALAKUA REMEMBERS--SUNDAY DRIVE, MARCH 4, 2012

It seems like just yesterday that I was writing about Ulupalakua Sparkles for the Christmas Season and now its already time for the next quarter's event. Each Spring they celebrate "Ulupalakua Remembers" which honors the heritage and the legacy of the ranch.

This year they are "remembering" Ulupalakau artist Reems Mitchell. His life-sized sculptures can be found at many locations around Maui, and visitors love having their photos taken with them. One of his sculptures is pictured on the right.

All of the Ulupalakua Sunday Drive events feature great food served at the Ranch Store, complimentary wine tasting at Tedeschi Vineyards and great entertainment. This years entertainment lineup includes Grammy winner Richard Ho'opi'i & 'Ohana, Ukelele virtuoso Derick Sebastian, Hawaiian Steel guitarist Joel Katz, the Seabury Hall Hawaiian Ensemble, and Uncle Benny Uyetake.
