I haven't been posting much lately, probably because I spend way to much time making my posts all pretty - I love eye candy. But it's paid off anyway - a couple of the last ones became featured on Localism, so they earned me 400 points or more. Woohoo.
Stable Road In Spreckelsville and Ho'okipa Beach Park must be doing something right. I'm not quite sure I know what it is, but if points and juice is what you're shooting for, then check them out and do something like that for your neighborhoods.
I'm glad to know that putting the extra effort into them is getting noticed. Thanks ActiveRain - I appreciate it. If this is getting me Google Juice - I'll have a double!

Those are both wonderful, informative and beautiful posts and I can see why they were featured, congrats.
I'm doing more posts for Localism these days and enjoy writing about neighborhoods and things to see. 100 agents in my area all do marketing reports but very few are doing the same pieces that I am. Great posts!
Georgina, getting featured on Localism gives you the best of both worlds from the offerings of Active Rain. You get great points on the system, and the most visibility to the public. Congratulations! I've written several posts about different neighborhoods and these seem to garner the most Google juice.
Wow excellent advice and I understand why when I search in Google. It does come up for us. Thanks for the reminder. Now where is my camera?

Both of the posts look great - I need to get my camera and get out there. Thanks for the advice.
Eye candy always wins. Your posts were great and deserving of rewards,

YAY Georgina! I love writing for localism. It's better than an open house 24/7/365!
Hi Georgina, those posts do look great. It's something I keep meaning to do and just haven't. Thanks for the reminder.
The posts are well done. I can see why they were featured on Localism...thanks for the ideas.
good stuff... how do you put the pictures in your blog.. copy and paste or is it HTML? thanks
Georgina, those were BEAUTIFUL posts and the features were well deserved. I especially loved the header shot on your park post - WOW!
I think it is good you are writing local content about Maui.... that may be part of the reason it is getting featured also. I know there has not been a lot of content for that. I went on a trip to Maui a few months ago and I went to localism to get some ideas - at the time I only found 1 post with helpful info about visiting Maui.
Miriam - Thanks, and congrats for being first to comment!
Cindy - Likewise, I prefer to read colorful posts, not boring old stats! : )
Brian - I'm starting to figure things out around here!
Karen - I have gotten into the habit of taking my camera everywhere, to the point of being annoying to my husband. He is now used to me saying " I can blog that!"
Vincent - you too.... take some more pictures.... lots of them
Renee S. - thanks for your kind words
Renee B - I really like it too, and wish I could have more time to do one a day
Peggy - Sometimes I'll get one started and save it as a draft, while I work on getting pictures together. Othertimes the pictures will inspire the post. Whatever it takes.
Al - thanks, go ahead and use those ideas
Jason - it's very easy, and will find lengthy discussions on how to do it in the Newbie group, or just fumble around with the tool bar at the top and click on the little tree icon and take it from there.
Lisa - thanks! Glad you stopped by.
Angie - well next time you come, there will be plenty of info for you!
I need to move there looks nice!
Georgina, congratulations on the features in Localism. I loved meeting you and sharing lunch at my favorite place, Mama's Fish House. Active Rain is a great place to find and get to know other Realtors from all over. And blogging brings you lots of google juice...enjoy!
I'll give you a call when I leave Kahana and I'm in Specklesville.
Georgina
Congratulations! Thanks for the heads up...as a Newbie, it's appreciated.
Merry Christmas
Jennifer - It is very nice, and we don't get hurricanes very often either.
Gena - I hope you do call.... Spreckelsville is nice, and close to the airport too.
Wayne - welcome to AR!
Very beautiful! Congratulations!
Kim - I'm glad you liked the posts, thanks for checking it out.
They were great posts! Where did you get your mug with google juice on it?
Pam - I made the image at imagechef.com, then I tweaked a little in ACDSee Pro, my image editing program.
Georgina, Those posts were beautiful and I realized it's been a while since I did a really great post for localism! You're right, it does bring some good Google juice. Thank you for the reminder!
Hi Carole - thanks for stopping by and commenting. Best wishes for the new year.
Georgina, very nice. I'll admit I haven't really concentrated on Localism as much as I should....I never have my camera nearby when I need it LOL!!
Nice job!
Colleen
I know what you mean... wish I had a camera today.
