Maui Real Estate for Sale
Rated the "Best Island in the World" by readers of Conde Nast Traveler, Maui offers hospital climate, natural beauty, wide open spaces, arts and cultural events, abundant outdoor activities, and of course, spectacular beaches. Maui has more miles of sandy beach than any other island in the chain, with ocean temperatures ranging comfortably between 74 and 80 degrees year round. Residents of this tropical wonderland will proudly tell you that Maui is "no ka Oi!" (the best).
Maui encompasses approximately 729 square miles, and is comprised of two volcanic land masses, West Maui and East Maui, joined by a low central valley or isthmus. Due to Maui's latitude, the length of daylight doesn't vary greatly from one time of year to the next, so Hawaiian Standard Time is in effect year-round.
Maui is considered sub-tropical, but it is an island of microclimates. Temperatures on Maui range in the high 80's in the summer, and mid 70's in the winter, with a 10-15 degree drop from the valley to Upcountry. Trade winds that blow regularly from the northeast provide a welcome, natural form of air conditioning.
