As of December 31, 2007, there were 48 single family home sales in the Makawao/Olinda/Haliimaile district year-to-date, compared with 58 sales this time last year.

The average price was $619,063, compared with $724,334 this time last year, representing a 17% decrease.

The median price for a home was $571,250, compared with $637,500 a year earlier, a decrease of 10%.

On January 18, 2008, an MLS search showed 32 homes listed for sale in the Makawao/Olinda/Haliimaile district.
