As of April 30, 2008, there were 11 single family home sales in the Makawao/Olinda/Haliimaile district year-to-date, compared with 24 sales this time last year. Total dollar volume was down 50%.

The average price was $653,727, compared with $605,250 this time last year, representing an 8% increase.

The median price for a home was $580,000, compared with $587,500 a year earlier, a decrease of 1%.

On May 27, 2008, an MLS search showed 52 homes listed for sale in the Makawao/Olinda/Haliimaile district.
