As of September 30, 2008, there were 706 home sales on Maui, compared to 893 a year ago - down 21%. The average sales price was $876,615, compared to $945,425 a year ago - a 7% decrease. The median price was $594,500, compared to $639,891 a year ago, a 7% decrease. Total dollar volume declined 27% during this twelve month period.
