Why didn't I bring my swimsuit this day? It was so hot in Wailea Maui and I really wanted to jump in to cool off. I don't think they would appreciate me skinny dipping in their infinity pool at Kai Malu - a Wailea residential community on Maui's south shore. No sir!
On the other hand, everyone knows you can swim naked at Makena's Little Beach, which is just around the corner from Makena Big Beach.

Maui has something for everyone - what are you looking for?

This spot is so beautiful that I can hardly stand to look at it. The land here is dry and the color is brown to rust. I won't be swimming in any open water around here for about 3 more months.
Sabrina - you'd better put on your sunglasses to read my blog. You can console yourself with spring blossoms and rhubarb!
Hi Georgina...I should post some of the pictures I took today. We had rain. What a contrast!
I took my three children to Maui 30 years ago this year. I can hardly believe it has been that long. it was beautiful then and I'm sure is equally beautiful today.

Georgina- When I meet you I am going to show you my collection of Georgina's photos. The listing you have overlooking the ocean is now my screensaver and Makena beach is now on my favorites list in my picasa. I just love your photos. Stirs my soul.
Wow what an unbelievable setting. I would love to be there right about now!
Our Blacks Beach here is clothing optional. It's a beautiful setting with 400-foot sandstone cliffs as the backdrop.
Ho Ho! This is so funny and I always thought you Maui residents were pretty laid back anyway! We have a place at lake Travis that is clothing optional but I have not been there for over 25 years...Great post, I love your sense of humor and you definitely live in a beautiful part of the world!
Kate - don't you think it's time for another visit - it is still very beautiful here.
Katerina - I'm looking forward to that time!
Bill - Maui is waiting for you now, or anytime.
Russel - that looks like a great beach, but I bet the water's cold!
Russell - I'm glad you got a chuckle from this post!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Georgina, I think Maui's secret is out that you don't need skinny dipping when there already ARE designated places for that.
