Island Sotheby's Lists Maui's Hana Ranch for sale for $65 Million

Hana Ranch Partners LLC - which includes the mayor of San Francisco, heirs to the Getty Oil fortune and several Montana ranchers have listed the Hana Ranch for sale with Island Sotheby's International Realty Wailea office. The current owners are looking for a buyer who will preserve the agricultural land and ranch operation which includes 1200 head of cattle that produce 1000 calves per year. The owners are not interested in selling to any developers and want to insure that comittments made to the Hana Community are kept.

The ranch includes approximately 3000 acres of pasture land and 1500 acres of forest preserve reaching up to the 2,200-foot elevation on Haleakala. There is also a 2 bedroom plantation house on the property with ocean views. The ranch does not include the Hotel Hana-Maui, Hana Ranch Restaurant, Hana Ranch Store or Hana Town Center, which are not owned by Hana Ranch Partners LLC. Oprah Winfrey purchased 102 acres on six parcels form Hana Ranch Partners and was anticipated to build 3 homes on the land but has not done so to date. The ranch has almost 3 miles of oceanfront land.
