That's right! Good o' Davenport, Iowa, heart of the USA, received the distinction from the U.S. Conference of Mayors today in Los Angeles! Previously, Davenport had made the Forbes Magazine list for Best Places For Business and Careers.
The Mississippi River and our attention to it seems to have put us at the top of the list of 19,217 cities under 100,000 population.
It's our wonderful restaurants like the Boat House right on the Mississippi River front!
It's our beautiful parks and amenities, many of which are on the riverfront!
It's our beautiful baseball stadium and Swing Baseball team right on our riverfront!
It's our bountiful boating season on the Mississippi River!
It's our beautiful bridges across the Mississippi River!
And the wonderful people of the Quad City area...........
