Idaho Housing Conference set for Oct. 19-20 in Boise

If it didn't take me 8 or 9 hours to drive to my state capital, I would LOVE to attend the Idaho Housing Conference next month and be in on the discussion with the forecasters. It's about as close as we can get to having a crystal ball to predict the future of the real estate market.

"Mapping the Future" is the theme of the Idaho Conference on Housing set Oct. 19-20 at the Doubletree Hotel Boise-Riverside.

Dr. Lawrence Yun, chief economist and senior vice president of the National Association of Realtors, is slated to discuss the economy and the housing industry. USA Today recently listed him as one of the top 10 economic forecasters in the country.

Workshop topics include the housing crisis and statewide housing conditions; neighborhood stabilization; housing fraud; dealing with crime and drugs in your community; developments in rental housing services; emerging community, landlord, and tenant challenges; leadership.
