Driving to the gym for an early morning workout I decide to stop and get some caffiene. Can't get a proper workout without the stuff. Inside the minimart, standing in line. Geez. 7 people in line. Come on, hurry up.
I decide to relax. The gym will wait. Look around. Except for one, the folks in front of me are all either texting or surfing the net on their smartphones. That can only mean one thing.
Our town has a population of 40,000. Yep. Thats it. Small town rural Americana. One zip code. Lots of farms. The great outdoors is right out most of our citizens backdoor.
But wait.
How can folks in my little tiny town (rural) have the ability to surf the net and text on their phones? Don't we need the National Wireless Initiative to save us? Don't the evil cell companies need a big push from President Obama and his "it will save us money" idea?
I actually feel sorry for the good citizens of Marquette this morning. They are all probably sitting there listening to Obama talk about how he will get them wireless service in their small rural area, and how it will save everyone money. All the while the people in the audience are texting and surfing the net, while trying to look attentive.
In that vein I am going to text someone about this.
Thanks Prez!
