This is fun...but is it where I should be spending my time?

Man, I seldom get comments on our blogger.com commercial real estate blog. All of you ActiveRain users rock! Thanks to everyone who chimed in or offered me a warm welcome to the network.

I have a lot of fun participating in online social networking, but is it really an efficient use of my time? I think people are going to spend more and more time on social networking sites, and I don't know if it's efficient or not, but i almost feel like participating is a necessity, especially from a company marketing standpoint. If you don't participate, you are most certainly going to miss out on a lot of business opportunities.

But at the same time, it can eat up ALL your time if you let it. I almost think I need to have a timer for myself, because it's so engaging it's hard to go to bed sometimes. And heavens knows I'm sleep deprived as it is!
