While the rest of the United States is experiencing a high number of foreclosures, poor economies and tough housing markets, Canyon County, Idaho is making the news.
The Idaho Press Tribune which is the voice of Canyon County reported on Wednesday May 2, 2007 that the commercial retail business in Canyon County is on fire beyond what was previously announced.
Karcher Mall of Nampa, Idaho is getting complete new face lift and has a attracted Burlington Coat Factory and Starbuck Coffeehouse.
Just in the last 6 months these businesses have opened:
Scheduled to open within 60 days is a massive new J.C. Penney's store at the S.E. corner of I-84 and the Garrity Exit.
Also scheduled to open in Canyon County are Sportsman's Warehouse, Joe's and TGI Fridays.
Numerous eateries and cell service companies have also opened in the past 6 months. Caldwell and Nampa are the main cities of Canyon County and are both seeing strong commercial growth which is bucking the current national trend.
